About this live walk
Start a walk to follow your location on the geographic map. Distance and active calories are estimates from GPS; they do not add steps or rewards. Keep this screen open while walking. A blue marker shows you; a green line shows the source route when mapped geometry exists. Estimated steps use GPS distance; they are separate from the iPhone counter and do not award points.
Location is off until you start a walk.
Your live position appears here after you start.

Imagery and traffic © Google. Green trail geometry © OpenStreetMap contributors. Map lines do not verify an entrance or current access.
No arrival point confirmed. The mapped centre is for preview and weather only.
Check the mapped or official source for the actual entrance, start or assembly point. A coordinate can snap to the nearest road, which may be unsuitable.
In-app routing, satellite imagery and traffic require a connected map service. These links are available after you confirm an entrance.

Common hiking health problems
Heat illness and dehydration
Thirst, dizziness, headache or dark urine can signal dehydration. Rest in shade, cool down and drink fluids if alert. Confusion, collapse or signs of heatstroke need urgent help.
NHS: heat illness · NHS: dehydrationCold exposure and hypothermia
Shivering, slurred speech or confusion after cold or wet exposure may be serious. Move to shelter, remove wet clothing and insulate the person while arranging urgent help.
NHS: hypothermiaAltitude illness
Headache, nausea or dizziness after ascent can be altitude illness. Stop climbing; if symptoms worsen, descend and seek medical help. Confusion or breathlessness at rest is urgent.
CDC: altitude illnessFalls, sprains and strains
Stop if injured and protect the affected limb. Severe pain, worsening swelling, deformity, numbness or inability to walk needs assessment; arrange help rather than pushing on.
